Kure Beach Ocean Front Park is getting closer to completion. Carolina Shade Sails in partnership with Apollo Sunguard and Marshburn Construction finished the installation of the 40’x35’x31′ HDPE shade sail on December 6th.
The Structure is a three column – Triangle Sail – Tensioned Membrane Shade Sail that will offer the children much needed sun protection while at the park. The Sail is SKY BLUE in color and offers 90% Shade & 96% UV Block. The 9′, 12′ and 15′ steel columns are powder coated in Coffee Tan. The structure is engineered for wind loads of 90 – 170 mph. The columns are top quality steel made from cold-rolled, galvanized tubular steel with a triple layer of protection. Allied steel outperforms most steels in tensile strenght and long-term corrosion resistance, as well as saltwater spray & other weathering tests.
