Kure Beach’s premier Ocean Front Park is located at 105 Atlantic Avenue and officially opened on Friday, April 26, 2013 with a stellar grand opening. Music concerts, open air markets, and other entertainment venues have already been implemented, and information can be found under Activities and Events and the calendar at http://www.townofkurebeach.org/ocean-front-park.aspx.
The park offers a shaded playground provided by Carolina Shade Sails, a large grass area for picnics and a beautiful view of the ocean. The park’s expansive, open-air pavilion is also available for private rental, excluding the months of July and August and major holidays. Get married under the pavilion roof overlooking the beautiful, blue Atlantic Ocean, or host a birthday, anniversary, shower or other event, out from under the “elements” of the sun (or rain) there.
